Drink Water or Rinse Your Mouth After meals

Always take a sip of water (if not more) after taking a meal or you can also serve the same purpose by rinsing your mouth with water after eating anything.

Use a Mouthwash

In addition to brushing and flossing, you also need to use a mouthwash. Brushing and flossing take care of all the plaque and food debris in your oral cavity and clears it all out but the bacteria that are present in the inaccessible places of your mouth can be wiped out only by a mouthwash.

Chew Sugar-free Gum

Try to chew sugar-free gum for 20 minutes after taking meals. This stimulates the production of saliva from salivary glands in the mouth. This leads to the digestion of food and a reduced chance of formation of dental cavities.

Fluoride Treatment

Expose your teeth to fluoride. It can either be done by drinking fluoridated water or by using a fluoridated toothpaste. This helps in the prevention of tooth decay and is considered as one of the most effective means.

Regular Dental Visits

Take care of your teeth just the way you take care of the rest of your body. For this, pay your dentist a monthly or a bimonthly visit to make sure everything is healthy about them. A regular checkup will keep you informed about your dental health and so you’ll always know when to take measure to avoid problems in the future.
